Christmas Wrap Up

Well Christmas came and went.  It was exciting, exhausting and pretty fun.  On Christmas Eve, I took Landon to the park to burn off some energy and escape the oven cleaning in the house. While we were out, I asked him what he thought Santa would bring him.  He looked at me and said “balloons!”.  I smiled.  Just balloons.  You don’t need fancy games and dancing Elmos.  You need a $1 pack of balloons.  Well I had such balloons!  Easy peasy. So after Landon went to bed, Santa went looking for them…Shit.  Couldn’t find them.  I was disappointed to say the least.  It was too late on Christmas Eve to find anywhere open…drats.  Then at 3am, as I was tossing and turning, I remembered them.  I awoke at 7 to the the sound of trains being raced around a crib and soon there after “MOMMY OPEN THE DOOR PLEASE”.  I scrammed downstairs to start blowing balloons.  So here I am, in my pajamas about to pass out in a race to get enough balloons for a little boy before he makes it downstairs.  Hot mess indeed.  Needless to say, he was over the moon. First thing he says as he goes down the steps is “BLUE BALLOONS!!!!” Mission accomplished.

I won’t bore you with all the rest of the details.  He got toys, we got fun novelty gifts for each other. Everyone went away happy.  Check it:

Your son is the second little boy I’ve heard of wanting balloons this year for Christmas. What gives? Cute though!
