Working With Style and Color

I love color. I always need some. I even tried wearing grays and blacks one day this week and I felt so weird. Royal blue, red, teal…thats my jam. Now my new challenge with dressing myself is this baby. While I am not rocking much of a baby bump, it sure is pushing the existing fat right up to my pant waist. Annoying. So my pant choices are becoming limited.

Friday I was to check out a new networking group at lunch. New people…networking…nice location…I needed different pants. ::sad trombone:: I had a panic the night before. Luckily, I seem to be smaller than my prepregnancy with Landon and found some old pants that fit. Next was tops. Too tight is super noticeable. Maternity shirts just look dumb. What to do? Well if you can’t fix the roll, distract the eye…or emphasize the massive rack. I rocked a olive Loft tank and a half cradigan in purple from Express (yeah it was 65 in January). I thought it was awesome.

Main thing about that boring story is every time I saw myself yesterday…I was like “damn you look good, girl”. I felt better about myself than I have in weeks. Weeks of wearing the same jeans and t shirts. I need to rock the color and emphasize what I can until that is balanced with cankles and me scratching my belly every 5 minutes. You know, classy.

I am linking up with my ladies over at Liberating Working Moms for our series on working with style. Come link up and follow working mama outfits throughout the week on Instagram with the hashtag #officefashionshow

I’ve been on this quest to add color back into my wardrobe. I was doing good until I began gaining all that lost weight back. I’m back to mostly wearing my black and greys. 🙁 But you know you’ve got me thinking about making time for exercise, so hopefully when it’s my turn to host WWS again, I’ll be able to get back into that color.

I love the olive/purple combo and the fun necklace. You are way too adorable my dear.
