Things I Love – Amazon Subscribe and Save

Amazon.com Subscribe and SaveYou know what baby related item I never have to worry with? Diapers. We do use disposables. You know, since I hate the Earth and such. When we got on this parent bandwagon, we thought we would be a slave to the diapers. Controlling our shopping trips and making us panic last minute. I can say after 2.5 years of diapering, we have NEVER had this happen. Not once have we been all “shit we only have 1 diaper” and have to run to the store before bedtime. Wanna know why?

Amazon Subscribe and Save

Yup. I signed up for the Amazon Mom (you can save even more) thing and we even rocked a full year of free Prime shipping because I just order a box of diapers a month or so. It auto drafts each month and shows up on the doorstep. Also? By doing subscribe and save, I get a portion off of them…plus free shipping. The price varies a teeny bit each month but I am bringing home a jumbo box of Pampers once a month for around $30. It is just swell. Now sometimes we get overstocked, so I just cancel that month’s shipment. Easy peasy. Need it earlier? Just request an extra shipment!

When you order through our Subscribe & Save program, you’ll:

  • automatically receive a new shipment of the item in the monthly intervals you select
  • get a discount on our everyday price
  • get free shipping on every Subscribe & Save shipment
  • pay for each order only when the item is shipped
  • have the option to cancel at any time

Now subscribe and save isn’t just for diapers obviously. Formula, wipes, diaper cream, etc. And why stop at baby stuff? I get my favorite sunless tanner every few months on schedule too. The possibilities are endless: toilet paper, mac and cheese, mascara, tubs of Nutella, soap, cat food. It is genius for us lazy Americans. Anything to our door. One step closer to Wall-e world.

So go forth and save money my friends. You’re welcome.

It is really a shame that you get kicked out of amazon mom after a year unless you pony up for prime membership. I bought all my diapers and wipes through the program, along with a host of other things. But the convenience alone isn’t enough to justify the money. It is about the same to get them at my local warehouse store.

After the fiasco of this past January and the changes to the program, I try to avoid amazon now.
