Flashback Friday – When Adults Wear Sleep Sacks
Hi everyone. I would like you to meet someone. This is my friend Gabi. Ya see Gabi is an interesting gal. She loves a good bargain, all things Eeyore and honey mustard. She proudly gave Kevin the nickname K-Love and harbored chicken in a pool bag for far too long in her room. Gabi and I have known each other for almost 15 years. The glory of her is she is still the same Gabi but with a Dr. in front of her name and maybe a dress from Entourage. She still can make me laugh as hard as anyone and I truly miss seeing her face everyday. Ya see we went to high school together and then roomed together all through college. We have committed petty crimes together, gotten really shitfaced and even created a hip game called Sassy Ball together. Ya know…the usual.
Well when I was writing the sleep sack post, I was looking for a photo. I usually try to find one with an element of funny but google images was letting me down. I thought and thought and then remembered an epic photo I had. Because it made me laugh so hard, I felt it needed a post to itself. So I give you, Gabi…in an adult sleep sack.
The story with the ‘sack’ is that Gabi and her sister had matching ones. It was hideous, purple and hot. Anyways, we were laughing as usual and we all decided she should wear it to class. So we set in place an epic dare. If she wore the sack, in spring NC heat, to class, we would chip in to buy her a hoodie form the bookstore. Now let me elaborate on a sleep sack. While this one had feet holes, the crotch was at the ankles…so she had to effectively waddle across campus to class. I am pretty sure it resembled Violet from Willy Wonka in the early stages of that blueberry episode. This was so epic in fact, I skipped my class that day to go to hers. Oh and she had to sit in the front row and ask questions. I doubt I will ever forget that and for that, I say thanks Dr. Gabs.
Things I still have
1- The Sack (of course)
2. The hoodie
3. The Sassy Ball
Things I no longer have
1. The bag of chicken
Just wondering if you still have the zebra shoes?
They were my other roommate’s. $20 bucks she still does though. #hotness

any idea on where i can get instruction on how to make one of these? we frequently have pajama days at my high school and i really want nothing more than to have one of these to wear 🙂
Hi
Wow! I found one. I am looking for an adult sleep sack similar to the one in the pics. Can’t find one without legs. Are they still made? I am to the point of needing to get one made for my wife.
Thanks
marty
I have no idea, man.
