How To Make Mommy Friends
I am a lucky duck. For someone who got into the whole pregnancy with NO ONE by her side, I have managed to assemble a team of AWESOME mommy friends. I have girl’s night outs. I have playdates out the wazoo. I have never had this many girl friends in my life and it is spectacular. I didn’t get the choice of growing up with my college friends because they mostly chose different paths. While I was in labor, they were looking for jobs. Totally different mindset. I had to learn how to make friends again…and GIRLS! I made maybe 2 girls in college because of my major…so this was a big step.
I recently was asked about all this from new moms looking for that community. So I scribbled down some ways I have made friends in my new mommy role and shared them for other working moms (read: we can’t have 10am playdates on Tuesday and have dance class on Friday at 4). Come check it out…
Over the last 2.5 years, I have acquired AWESOME mommy friends. Ones I know I could call at 3am and wouldn’t bat an eye. Ones that are always up for a playdate at the park last minute.
