Popsicles the homemade way!

I love how he is giving himself the shifty eyes

You know what is a crowd pleaser? Popsicles.  I don’t care who you are, popsicles are the cat’s pajamas. Landon does partake in the glory that is the  red mesh bag on occasion but when it’s time to fill that kid up with nutrients, I turn to the DIY. Then to add to my obsession, you can find SO MANY RECIPES on pinterest.  I mean LOOK! Then you start pinning photos of hot guys and maternity photos and THINGS IN MASON JARS and then where did the time go? Anyways, I am going through this list and trying new kinds of homemade concoctions. For the yummy, non-dripping, treats that Landon is noshing on above I did the following:

1. Got out the Magic Bullet.

2. Dumped in a cup of vanilla greek yogurt.

3. Sprinkled in about a cup of blueberries

4. Added a 1/2 cup of frozen mango(go trader joes)

5. Splashed in some milk

6. Blend

7. Pour into popsicle makers (got mine at a yard sale!)

8. Freeze.

9. Enjoy!

I didn’t really measure anything.  I mean what does it really matter.  It is all good and it will all freeze.  Just make sure there is enough liquid for it to move.

Also another thing to make with the bullet, fake frozen banana yogurt. I even make with ovaltine because WHY THE HELL NOT!? Landon now thinks frozen bananas are ice cream…so who is the winning mom now?

What are your favorite popsicles recipes? I am planning on trying a peanut butter raspberry I found last night but I wanna hear what your kiddos like!

When he gets older you can just make them like my mom used to. You get a packet of Kool-aid and make it with about 3 times the sugar. Then you pop them in the freezer and boom, DELICIOUS!

Maybe not very nutritious, but delicious.
