Landon’s Jams
Usually I am all about sharing the music I am currently listening to and using for workouts. These seem to be popular posts. I have to say I am pretty passionate about it. I then realized the other day that a majority of our day is filled with a different selection of music. This was also spurred by the sudden interest in singing from our little tot. I give up dub step for The Muppets and NIN for Backyardigans.
With the help of our friend Spotify, we have started to gather a playlist for Landon. The glory here? We don’t have to buy these terrible albums. This comes in handy in the evenings when it isn’t TV time but we need a distraction, on the ride home from school or just out looking for houses in the car. It helps cheer him up and get him moving. Most of the tracks are from movies and TV shows. So here are a few of his favorites!
He has eclectic taste, to say the least. So what songs does your tot love? We are always looking for more variety.
The favorite in our house is Caspar Babypants! Do you remember Presidents of the United States of America? The lead singer Chris Ballew does kids music now, and I can honestly say it won’t make your ears bleed. Check out Run Baby Run and his cover of Nirvana’s Sliver. Another local Seattle “kindie” band we love are The Not Its. Margots favorite song by them is something to do with a llama but I don’t remember the name.
Fact: I think I’m too stupid to use spotify. I tried it once and it didn’t go well.
what happened?
We’re all big fans of the Keller Williams kids CD.The boys particularly like “Mama Tooted.” Hmm… Laurie Berkner is a big hit in our house too. The remix of Witch Doctor makes the Chipmunks bearable, and we like this funny random song called “I Think I’m A Bunny.” We listen to the Sirius radio station Kids Place Live which has lots of good ones.
He also likes fun Oldies songs like Lion Sleeps Tonight and Blue Moon.
